Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight titleholder Luke Rockhold is not going to jeopardize his pretty face — handsome enough for a big time modeling contract — with punches in bunches when his employer fails to compensate him accordingly.
“Look, a lot of people are asking ‘when are you going to fight?’ I might have a bout agreement in the mail, but the money is bullshit,” Rockhold said on snapchat (via Bloody Elbow). “When the money is right, I’ll be ready to fight.”
Just don’t call this guy.
Rockhold (15-3) coughed up his 185-pound title in the UFC 199 main event back in June, after newly-crowned kingpin Michael Bisping laid him out in the championship headliner. It was just his second loss inside the Octagon and one that may have him in a holding pattern because of this.
Probably not the strongest place to be, in terms of negotiating a new fight, but that’s what this is for.
