“Notorious” wasn’t lying when he said “the game answers to me now.”

Conor McGregor — the money-making featherweight champion of UFC — apparently hasn’t received a number that he feels justifies him facing lightweight kingpin, Rafael dos Anjos, at an upcoming UFC 197 pay-per-view (PPV) in March.

What is this, the NFL?

According to Brazilian outlet Globo (via Bloody Elbow), “Notorious” is searching for more shekels to face the 155-pound powerhouse “RDA,” following a base salary of $500,000 for his own shellacking (video) of former pound-for-pound juggernaut Jose Aldo at UFC 194 one month ago.

The report alleges that UFC brass were hoping to make an official announcement during yesterday’s (Sun., Jan. 10, 2016) NFC Championship game between NFL clubs, the Green Bay Packers and Washington Redskins.

McGregor has yet to sign a contract to face dos Anjos at the event on March 5, 2016 because his demands have not been met yet. Dos Anjos’ manager, social media aficionado Ali Abdel-Aziz, revealed during a Periscope session last week that contracts had not been signed yet.

The boisterous Irishman was last seen clocking “Junior” in record-fashion, while dos Anjos dismissed Donald Cerrone in 66 seconds (video) to make the first successful defense of his lightweight belt back in December.
